Analysis settings

Choose the P-value cutoff used for SNP and positional gene associations throughout the database.

Choose P < 10−10, 10−15, …, 10−50 in steps of five in the exponent. A smaller P value is more stringent. The default is P < 10−10.

What this setting changes

It applies to Manhattan plot highlights and threshold lines, SNP counts below the threshold, chromosome summaries, SNP tables and GWAS downloads. It follows you when you open another metabolite from a search or gene page. All indexed points remain in the background of the plot.

Gene–metabolite relationships, supporting SNP records, overview counts, search filters, sorting and gene-page TSV exports use the same threshold. The page reloads when you change the setting so all results agree. The Q–Q plot continues to describe all valid, positive P values in the indexed file.

This is an exploratory display filter, not a new statistical test or multiple-testing correction. Records are selected using P strictly less than the chosen value.

Remembered on this browser

Your choice is saved automatically on this browser for this site, without an account. URLs include p_exp so a shared link reproduces the selected threshold. Other browsers and the university and external domains keep separate preferences. Test and production pages also keep separate preferences. Clearing site data restores the default for URLs without p_exp. An explicit p_exp in a link takes priority. Earlier shared links retain their recorded threshold; previous browser preferences outside the current choices return to the default.
